2 tones of earth to move …

The goal? To move an impressive two tons of earth, a crucial step in our preparation for the upcoming season.  The spoil from the laying of the new patio had to moved and it would require a Herculean effort to move the damp, claggy soil to surrounding areas.

Club Captain , Claire Edwards and her mum Sue Stinchcombe lead the way over a number of weekends to get the Club ready for the upcoming season.  Many thanks to all who helped a magnificent team effort.

  • A dedicated working party gathered, ready to take on the challenge.
  • Tools and equipment were prepared for the day’s work.  Mike was obviously in charge and kept us all in line.
  •  Equality at the club with ladies doing the digging and the boys drinking the tea.
  • Removing the flagstones, careful Liam  and Chris fixing the 100 year display
  • Final touches, sweeping out the ditch before laying the mats.
