Welcome to the 2024 season of bowling here at Spencer Melksham Bowls Club. We have a very exciting year ahead as we look forward to celebrating our Centenary year and we have a full programme of events to see us right through to the end of the year, culminating in an end of season formal celebration dinner.  We would like to see as many members at these events as possible so that we can all come together and celebrate in style.

We have several exciting changes that are coming this year which will help us to stand apart from the rest in the form of our new club colours, new bowls shirts and the new flag which has very generously been donated by John and Wendy Clayton.  Our new patio has now been completed and will allow us easier access to the clubhouse year round.

I would personally like to thank everyone involved, particularly the Centenary committee, for making all these things happen so that we can make our club as friendly and inclusive as possible.  We have made great strides in making our club more accessible for all members regardless of ability and we will continue to work on this into the future.  We are glad to be seen as a family-friendly club and hope to keep encouraging younger members to join our ranks.

The green has been meticulously managed by Kevin and our thanks go to him for making it as healthy as possible and a wonderful green to play on.
